The styling for the show was developed by Syntia Seliсka-Uzane, a talented Latvian stylist. The fashion show will take place on Thursday, April 20, at Hanzas Perons venue.
“Stockmann department store offers its customers carefully selected and environmentally friendly fashion items inspired by Scandinavian design, allowing for unique style without limitations. This approach will also be reflected in the fashion show, showcasing the pearls of Latvian designers alongside current global fashion trends," says Dace Goldmane, Director of Stockmann department store, about the upcoming participation in RIGA FASHION WEEK.
For the fashion show, designers from brands with similar values and development vectors have come together, based on conscious thinking and responsible consumption. It should be noted that within the current RFW, special attention is given to the impact of the textile industry on the environment. The event opens with an international seminar dedicated to sustainable fashion.
"Collaborations in the fashion industry are a popular format of collaboration pursued by industry giants, ranging from luxury brands to mass-market products. It is a vivid example that aggressive competition is a thing of the past, and synergy and mutual support are the keys to successful and long-term business," comments Elena Strahova, president of the Baltic Fashion Federation.
The philosophy of the Nolo brand is "buy less, but higher quality." The designer of the brand, Victoria Joniene, notes that their pride is in their production, which is equipped with energy-saving processes and employs over 20 highly skilled seamstresses. Similarly, the brand Anna Led strives for sustainable development, starting from the production process and ending with the use of natural materials and handmade methods. The design of the Unattached brand is dedicated to "bold office princesses," and the production cycle of their collections aligns with the principles of sustainability. Cinnamon Concept is a knitwear brand with a philosophy of sustainable development. "We work with a small local factory, one of the oldest in the region, where skills and knowledge accumulated over decades are now applied to create modern clothing from high-quality materials," shares designer Antra Hanna Elerta.
The 36th Riga Fashion Week will take place from April 18 to 21 this season. The general partner of RFW is the department store Stockmann.
